What inspired you to become a CrossFit coach?
My own personal transformation and experience from my 1st coach.  I know I wanted to help others reach their goals as well.

What has been your best coaching experience so far?
Being able to safely and effectively train with my Mom.  Watching her enjoy getting her butt whooped is a good time.

If you could give someone new to CrossFit just one piece of advice, what would it be?
Diet, rest, recovery/rehab is just as essential as working out, in order to achieve your goals all these things must be met first.  Also always hydrate! Water. Water. Water.

Would you share with us your favorite tip or cue that we might find useful to use in our training?
“Rep management”  basically have a game plan on how you’re going to tackle your workouts.  Whether its a long met-con, intense short interval, or a heavy strength day, perform your reps/sets with proper technique and the most efficient way possible.  i.e. know your timing, rest periods, and efficiency.

Do you have any success stories among your athletes or your own personal CrossFit quest that you’d like to share?
The best success story so far is helping start up 151 from the beginning and seeing what it has grown to become.

If ‘Your Name’ was a WOD, what would it be? The Champ

What’s your biggest goal and what are you doing about it?
My biggest goal right now is to get my Snatch above #200.  I am working the progressions of the lifts a lot and taking my time to focus on the technique.  Footwork is difficult for me.

Favorite CrossFit equipment, accessory or clothing you’d recommend to everyone?
Wrist wraps.  If you don’t have them, get them.

What is something fun or unique members may not know about you?
I was in the US Navy and worked as Mech. Engine Tech on F/A 18 Super Hornets.

Besides being a coach at 151 what is your other job/(s)?
I am a Logistic Market Analyst for Limolink Intl.
