What inspired you to become a CrossFit coach? The sport itself. It’s a new spin to working out, its addictive, and the sky is the limit as far as health and fitness are concerned.

What has been your best coaching experience so far? Watching somebody who has never completed a movement, MU for example, work hard, follow directions and getting 3 unbroken after some serious training.

If you could give someone new to CrossFit just one piece of advice, what would it be? Check your ego and give it time. Its not magic, it takes hard work.

Would you share with us your favorite tip or cue that we might find useful to use in our training? Quality not Quantity! Open those hips and get below parallel. Oh and NO REP!

Do you have any success stories among your athletes you’d like to share? Everyone who came in taking a chance, fell in love, and continues to improve and stay motivated month after month.

If “Zak” was a WOD, what would it be?
All body weight stuff! Pullups, pushups, ring dips, running, double unders and muscle ups.

What’s your biggest goat and what are you doing about it?
OHS. I squat 3 times a week and at least twice very heavy. Working on shoulder mobility and technique as well.

What CrossFit athlete do you aspire to be most like?
Chris Spealler and married to Christmas Abbott of course!
